Reply to a friend: We always get exactly what we need – whether we like it or not.
Transcript:
Here’s something we keep saying over and over…
And I am offering this as a suggestion, as a hypothesis, as an idea, as a possibility for you to take as a reality for an experiment: in each moment, you are getting exactly what you need.
In a way, you have created this moment, consciously and unconsciously to be here because this is where you need to be. Now, if you are aware and awake and unconditional, if the circumstance changes, you will pick it up. Suddenly that job, that relationship, that house, that situation, that car, is no longer appropriate. And you know it. If you respond to that, in fact the earlier you respond to that, the smoother things go. The longer you leave it, the more difficult it gets. In fact, that backed up energy of you not responding can cause you physical as well as mental distress.
So if you just take this hypothesis, the way you are right now, is your maximum potential. This is where you need to be right now. Now, if you are here right now and it is no longer appropriate to be in this place, whatever the circumstances, allow yourself to move in the direction that you can feel there is a flow. And if there is no direction, be here.
Don’t complain its poison. It poisons your energy, your body, your mind and the people around. Here I am – whatever the circumstance. Here I am and I am grateful for being where I am. And I am available. I am open. And if something more suitable, more appropriate comes along, I will respond. I will be there.
This is what happens usually. You are in this moment and the mind says: Ah, but if it goes on being like this, I will be bored, I will be this, and I will be that. But nothing ever goes on being like this because each moment is fresh. Be in each moment. Be in each moment until there is an invitation for something different, then just respond. But if you keep projecting ahead of what you think it is going to be or should be or can’t be. Because you don’t know, you don’t know who is going to turn up on your doorstep. You don’t know these things. And it looks impossible.
You say: I have been looking all this time for somebody to share with. But you never know. We have got 7 billion people on this planet in bodies, let alone all those that are not in bodies. Anything can happen anytime if you are available. And the more available you are the more it is likely to happen.
Let’s say you get invited to a party and something says: I should go to that party, and something says: Oh, I am tired of parties. Tune in. Tune in. If there is a feeling to go, go. You never know who you are going to meet and even if you don’t meet somebody that’s useful to you, you may be useful for someone else. You may have something to pass on. But listen, listen and feel and sense and respond.
But if you keep projecting into the future in a negative way, you are not going to feel good in the moment. Here we are in this moment. Be here. And if there is a feeling for something to change, let it happen.
