John McCarthy Investigates The Bible
Do any of us believe now anything *They* tell us anymore?
Well it seems – we never could. Since leaving school I have
come to see that almost everything I was told about the past
just is not true. (And it ain’t just one religion either.)
And if this ‘story’ is being proved to be fiction,
then what else is not true. Then – and now.
This doco is very convincing – that what we have been told
about the Middle East situation is not based on facts.
Political/religious fiction – not facts.
(It is detailed and having watched such reports before
I sped through it. Too detailed for most I think.)
One perspective for me is, this is a confirmation that,
as a species, we are very, very primitive.
Check it out. Imagine you are an advanced peaceful,
loving and caring species from space – watching our news.
Wouldn’t want o stay long eh.
I usually get a lot of negativity coming my way when I send
out anything that does not support the accepted stories.
Suggestion. Check it out for yourself first?
I did – including going to what is now called Israel, and many
Arab countries, and even worked on a Kibbutz for a short time.
And do the so-called facts/religions matter anyway?
When based on such stories, and we end up us killing each other –
maybe? Or maybe not as looking back at our history,we would be
killing each other anyway – as that seems our ‘nature.’
Once again – easy to judge, and we could look more closely
at our own lives so see how honest and sincere are we –
in each moment?

The Walls Come Tumblin’ Down
In six 30-minute programs , first broadcasted in 2001, John
McCarthy travels through the Holy Land to examine the validity or
otherwise of stories from the Old Testament.
Bringing in history, archaeology and new research, his intriguing journey
is the subject of this thought-provoking tie-in which looks at: the truth
behind Jericho’s ‘tumbling’ walls; the mystery of the Promised Land; who
was Solomon;
when did the Jews become monotheists; what was Zion; and when was the text
of the Old Testament actually written? The book offers fresh, sometimes
unsettling, perspectives on the Bible and its history.
