Artist’s houses can be shambles. Especially their studios.
When they are painting they are being aware of every brushstroke,
but often they do not live their lives with that level of awareness. At
all.
Which would be fine for them if when they are not painting they are
in equal bliss, but not usually so, in fact many artists live in agony.
Not so much when they are painting,
especially if it is not for any sort of reward,
but afterwards, as soon s the mind comes in – hell.
In each moment, life could be seen as art – the art of living.
Being aware in each moment that there is a connection –
not only to everyone, but everything.
In one way, everything could be seen as alive,
and having some level of consciousness.
Hunting and fishing one level;
attempting to remove the mosquito without harming it, another.
(A farmer I know eats meat, but will not eat meat from his own cattle.)
Not right and/or wrong, just another level of sensitivity?
The way I see it, everything does have consciousness.
(Not only do I choose my toothbrush carefully, I thank it.)
And everything has a *spot* – that can change in a moment.
I see everything and every moment as a composition – a *work of art.*
To see that possibility one has to be present and aware. Rare.
Try it. Take a look around where you live, inside and out.
Is it in the best a harmonious balance, and as beautiful
as it could be under the circumstances?
(If you would like a more clear view of the state
of the inside of your head – look in your cupboards and draws.)
As usual, not to be taken seriously
