Neither. (And both.)
The mind can only think in opposites,
so in addition to the mind ‘doing’ doing,
it also ‘does’ passivity.
As I see it, we are not even just part of consciousness –
we are consciousness itself (non-self).
So in order to be at the maximum potential
we need to respond to … whatever. Unconditionally.
So sometimes just watching, and other times actively responding.
Just getting out of the way and letting it all happen. Simple.
Of course, easily said.
Despite the wise ones saying it, over and over, hardly anyone does.
Strange that – isn’t it? People travelling thousands of miles
to ask the question of a wise person, listening to the answer, then not
doing it. Bankie, Krishna Murti, Gurdjieff all said that no one heard them. Not one!
Its like going to the doctor, getting the pills, then not taking them.
Once again: In Each Moment.
Every single thing you do, say, see, touch, taste, think –
unconditionally watching.
Sending love …
