Hi Love
I feel delighted to have your warm, loving and appreciative email.
Thank you again for your contribution to the technical side of IML.
As I have often said, I do feel that we are connected –
like close brothers.
You say:
“I’m really amazed to discover every day how much asleep
and day-dreaming I am.”
As I see it, you have already passed the main hindrance to awakening –
being aware that you have been/still are asleep. Now it is just a matter
of devotion to being even more aware – unconditionally – meaning,
without judgement. And if you do judge, not to judge the judging.
Sincerity is the main ingredient.
“It feels like I’m entering into a nightmare when I take a closer look at
what is happening in the world.”
As you start to wake up it is a shock isn’t it. Seems like madness. What
is needed here is acknowledging that you are waking up – otherwise –
how would you know you have been asleep!
The more you wake up the more you will see how different you now are.
It is like you have become a different species – which in a way, compared
to the average person’s behaviour, you are.
You need to let yourself have that – you are waking up, and your behaviour
is now of a very different level of consciousness. As we say so often, it
does not make you a *better* person – just more awake. Please give that
to yourself.
“No wonder I never wanted to leave my safe bubble.”
Ah – now there is a common illusion. Bubble or no bubble, none of us are
ever safe – from the unexpected.
“The question also arises though: where is the real nightmare?
Enclosed in my bubble and ignorance or in the open, in the jungle.”
Great question!
“I probably missed out on”
I don’t think we ever miss out on anything. Everything is perfect just as
it is – in each moment. And in any case, contrary to what we have been
taught, looking back not only does not help, it is old and unproductive.
“All I get to know increasingly is the presence of a thick fog which was
there since a long long time.”
My experience is (which may be different to yours) is that the fog becomes
a warm gentle mist – that, we being in the middle of it, shields us from
anything that is not in this very moment.
“I feel I’m such a child still and a long way home.”
How wonderful! “When you become as a little child.”
And home? – is always exactly where you are – in each moment.
“It feels like the question is more to do with getting the clarity and the
courage to walk the way myself… in every moment.”
Yes. Eventually taking responsibly, and realising your unique way.
Listening to everyone, absorbing, then letting it all distil into your
unique way.
Usual statement here. I know it may sound as though I know, for sure –
and I don’t. When something wants to come through, I let it. If it connects
to my experience then integrating happens.
I am sending you lots of love
