Hi Love,
Sounds like you are having fun. Good.
“i have a question…. is asleep a Bad thing? because from my asleep view, if there is no good and bad,, just isness,, then awake isnt better than asleep,, it is a different state,, a state that provides an awareness of bliss (if that is the correct word which it probably isnt)… so my question is: if asleep and awake are equal in the non judgmental category,, then why is one better than the other?”
You may have noticed — you are more awake than most of those around you. Some of them may be more expert in some areas, but mostly, overall, you are more awake. In relation to this, you may also have noticed that you are also less stressed, more happy, content, having a good time. The more awake you are, the less misery you are in and the more fun you are having. Not good, not bad. More fun, less suffering.
It is like being in a room where your friend is having a nightmare. They are your friend, you do not want them to be suffering unnecessarily, so you want to wake them up and show them that their suffering is unwarranted — there is nothing real to worry about. If they do not wake up, you do not worry too much as you know what they are experiencing is just an illusion and at some time they will wake up to reality.
“won‘t people just arrive when they are supposed to, and as they meet people like you they become exposed to what is possible if they want it… I know for me, the exposure to you , eckhart, nilam and although each of you are at different levels for me anyway, knowing what is possible or seeing what is possible opens my mind and system to other perspectives of living,, and then choice happens, or i interfere with it, and still choice happens.. but from a different place than the source… ”
“When they are supposed to.” That is The Great Philosophical Question — supposed to. Thousands have been to these teachers, and few have heard. Krishna Murti and Gurdgieff both said they had talked for forty years and not one had heard. Not one. “Those that have ears, let them hear.” And the parable about the farmer spreading his seeds. “Supposed to.” Does that mean we are totally mechanical? Does that mean we have been totally pre-programmed — to wake up ‘when we are supposed to?’ — no free will of any sort — zombies? (How wonderful to be a zombie — no responsibility whatsoever.) I think not. I think it is up to us.
In the state of consciousness we are in now we are going to annihilate ourselves. Totally. Science is telling us this in no uncertain terms. If we wake up we have more possibilities — to have more fun and adventures. And if we don’t, it doesn’t matter. But for most people it will certainly seem to matter.
Awake is present. Presence is life.
Sending you much love… pauls
